Hawaiian Islands

More than 7 Million visitors each year! The Hawaii Islands are the number one island destination travel spot in the world.

Nicknamed “The Aloha State,” Hawaii is a string of 137 islands (land area of 6,422 square miles) located in the north central Pacific Ocean some 2,400 miles from the west coast of the continental United States.

Each of the four main islands offers many world-class activities that include active volcano tours, luaus, snorkel and dinner cruises, whale watching, sport fishing, horseback riding, parasailing, helicopter tours, and many more exciting, tropical adventures.

Although each Hawaii Island features lovely beaches and splendid scenery, each one has its own personality.

Which Island should you see first? It really depends on your interests and who you are bringing along.

For instance…

If you are traveling with a family, Waikiki on Oahu is great for kids and teenagers. My daughter’s favorite spot was Pearl Harbor and my son loved the snorkeling at Hanauma Bay.

Scientists run from surging lava flow from a Hawaii volcano. The Big Island (aka Hawaii) has two active volcanoes accessible cultural history, landscape diversity, and luxury golf courses in the lava.

Conde Nast Traveler has named Maui the world’s best island for 10 years running and named it the #1 Travel Destination in the world in 1997.

Maui has wintering humpback whales, its own complement of big-time golf courses, and plenty of visitors to its sunny beach resorts, ranging from affordable condos to plush hotels.

Waimea Canyon, Kauai If you like to hike spectacular sea cliffs or green rain forests, Kauai is a great choice.

Two places that you must see are Waimea Canyon and the Na Pali Coast.
